tomorrow is the last day of school and this is gonna be my last blog post cause I really don't want to post on friday. this past school year had it's ups and downs. I met new friends and lost friends and gotten in trouble more than a few times but that's what happenes in life. sometimes the world is fun and sometimes it's not. I learned that u should treat people the way they treat you not the way you would want to be treated because there are three people you will meet in your life: ones who helped u in hard to times ones who left u in hard times and ones who put u in hard times.  I'm looking foward for the summer and next year too. Literacy Essay

Have you ever been overconfident about things? Have you ever thought you are better than other kids at sports or video games? Have you ever felt you were more popular than people you know? In the story "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" by Jeff Kinney Greg find himself thinking he is better than everyone else. 

Greg thinks he's better at their madeup game. In their made-up game, where you throw a ball to the person in the big wheel. He says that he is better than Rowley at the game but he says that Rowley is better at riding than throwing so he should be the rider. This proves my claim because he is being over confident because he is saying he is better at Rowley, When actually Rowley is  quite better at throwing.

Greg thinks he is better at winnin award than Rowley. When He looks in his brother’s old yearbook he realizes that he could win a lot of popular awards like class clown, most likely to succeed, and best-dressed. He realizes that he thinks he is better than everyone by saying "I could win all of these!" This proves my claim because he is saying he is funnier and most likely to suceed and best dressed when in fact he isn't any if those.

Greg thinks he is better at Rowley at Video games. When they start playing there favorite game, Twisted Wizard, He says "I am better so I should play first, you second." This proves my claim because he is being over confident by saying he is better even though Rowley is better. 

So my claim is that Greg Heffley is overconfident. He thinks he is better than everyone at stuff even though he really isn't.

I watched a video today on how to jump higher. the video can help get your vertical higher buy 5 inches. I was amazed by this and I went outside to try it after I finished watching the video. on my net I can hang on to the rim with one hand so I wanted to see if I can do it with two. so the first time a jumped I got preety high with one hand so I tried two the next time. I taped it with two but couldn't hang on. so I tried once more and sure enough I got both two hand on but the Tim cracked and broke.  I couldn't believe I could break a official nba backboard with only 75 pounds!

today I woke up at my cousins house cause we had a sleep over. we played xbox and then went outside to play basketball. when we come in side we wanted to watch a movie so we did. and halfway through the movie a had a huge headache and I felt sick. I threw up 4 times and when I got home I rested for 2 hours woke up and I was fine

This story is about a boy named jack Arubus. He is trying to see if his soldier notes are worth anything. He is thinking if he should escape or stay and be sold. He gets an opportunity to go to New York when he is forced to go on a trip because he is accused if stealing the notes.

on Friday I went  to the fair with some of my friends. it was pretty fun and I had a good time. and then on Saturday I went to the lake and went to the fair again with my friend Sydney and we went on the scariest ride there and it was so fun

Describe the problem in the story. Does this problem happen in real life?

the problem is that Jack Arubus is trying to see if the soldier notes are worth anything. The problem is that he is not going to New York his trip route is going to somewhere else. another problem is is that Capt. Ivers wants to sell him. He is thinking if he should escape or he should stay there and work in the cornfield. this is sort of sad for Jack because when he was on the ship he did not know he was going to be sold and he probably will not see his mom ever again. he is going to get over his problem by trying to find a way to go to New York and to escape so he doesn't have to work in the cornfield. he's looking for a place to stash his soldier notes so the captain can't find them into the back. if the captain find the soldier notes and get said he could be severely punished. I have no clue and how he is going to escape. I hope that he does and that he gets free.

it's wierd how life works. on Memorial Day this past week me and my dad af my brother were driving to the movies. we were driving on a major express way and I saw some dead deer in the roads. not having very much interest in it I ignored it. 5 minutes lay to found myselft catching eye with a deer to the left of my dad's two week old Chrysler. as it moved closer to our car I become more interested in to what I was to do. going 70 miles a hour I saw the deer burst out in a sprint towards our car I yelled "deer" bit it wa too late as the back of the deer hit the hood of our car causing three thousand dollars of damage. if we were a secon later I probly would be written this right now

Today was a step forward to our goal in becoming free. Capton Ivers told me I was to be on his ship for the trip to New York. It was weird though. It's like he wanted me to go to New York so I can see if the soldier notes my dad earned are actually worth something. I was Sad leaving my mom. lshe was always there for me and not being with her seemed horrible. I mean I never had before. Even though it was a 4 day trip, I would miss her tons. She loved me a lot and I loved her back. She was alway looking after me. She'd always set some cloth away for a winter coat for me when it got cold or save some meat for me so I could grow tall and strong.

today was our first track meet! I did pretty good. I got 2nd in the 100m and third in the 70! I'm pretty sure BCS lost to Bloomfield hills but it is ok cause I had so much fun. ian got first place in the 70 and he was on fire. Cory did really good on his mile and so did Marc. he got 2nd place in the meet for 6th grade.

I am a 6th grader at BCS and u think that school starts way to early. Middle schoolers should get at least 10-12 hours of sleep every day. And since the average middle schooler goes to bed at ten we are not getting a full 12 hours of sleep waking up at 7 o'clock because of this. School starts way too early. I have to wake up early which do not start a good day. I am tired and I usually miss the bus. I think school should start later so we can start off the day good.

Also it's been proven that are brains aren't fully focused until 10 am which results in lack of learning. This is not good and should be resolved.

Waking up at 6 or 7 is too early and u should wake up at 7:30 or later. One morning when I woke up I was so tired. I got my stuff together and went outside. When I went outside I saw the bus pass by. I missed the bus. i want everyone to get to school on time and be able to do the best that they can.

I think that we should starts school later so this doesn't happen. We should start school around 8:45 so we have enough time to get up.

I don't know what to do. My oars fell into the water. How am I going to get home. I am 2 hours away by oars and if I use my hands It would take longer. I have all my food and water in my boat and I don't want to waste that. I have three options. I can eat all the food right now and swim the way there. I think that year-round schooling is not a good idea because it does not significantly improve test scores.  Teresa Greenfield(2004) found that although teachers and parents may have observed some improvement, the result showed no significant improvement. There are additional reasons for not changing the traditional school calendar.  Summer time allows children to grow and mature, which may ultimately give them a new outlook for the upcoming school year and provide them with the chance for a fresh start. 


According to one study, the research finds that a year-round calendar doesn't benefit the average student. Because these schools offer more breaks to make up for being in school year-round, students end up learning the same amount of material. Furthermore, the research found it isn't the amount of time that a student is in school, but rather the amount of learning that takes place.Steven McMullen and Kathryn E. I think that year-round school would have a negative impact on students and wouldn't be very encouraging.Many students wouldn't want to go to school year-round and would get tired of it, which would result in many drop outs. Having a summer vacation gives students motivation throughout the school year.
Some students like to enjoy their summer by participating in summer sports. Also, many families go on summer vacations, so year-round school would stop them from enjoying time with family (Julia Sines, 2009) so in conclusion i don't think year round schooling is a good idea.

I think five minute writing is stupid. we basically write about random things because we ran out of ideas because we write all the time. id rather write a couple paragraphs a week than write every day. it does nothing because we write about things like this: blue sky is blue or my five minutes is almost done. this doesn't improve any writing and is a huge waste of time. id like to be proven other wise mr joe
