The crack of the bat was as loud as thunder. He bolted like lightning to first then second then third then home not knowing that he hit the ball 100 feet over the fence. Everyone was cheering and celebrating.

I was about to start to run, but I was confused about something. Not sure a sprinted right off. Left right left right up down left right

i waited for the go, and once it sounded i sprinted fast. i was sprinting for a good 30 seconds then i slowed down to jog then back up to a run then to a sprint. my mouth felt like it was bleeding, have yo ever gotten that feeling.

I shot and waited for the rebound bit there was no need. A shot it again and again till I missed then I moved and shot again and again till I missed. Then I dribbled shot dribbled shot

I was practicing outside. Dribble jump shot swoosh.mthat pattern continued for 3 or 4 shots till it rolled of the backboard then I tried free throughs. 1 2 3 4 miss. Three point shots 1 2 miss. I gotta work on those I said 

year round school is not a good idea

i think that year-round schooling is not a good idea. it takes away  long break for you to cool down from working so hard. researchers find out that the improvement was not significant. year-round schools take away vacations and summer camp  and time spent with friends. also year-round schools can cost a lot more money by buying things like air conditioning and science kits, and with all the hot weather  kids could just not want to go to school and there parents would let them miss school. Probably the primary reason for supporters of year-round education have for switching from a traditional calendar is that they believe that year-round schooling can offer students a better education.  Educator Susan Morse (2002) believes that the longer students are on vacation, the less material they retain.  She adds that year-round education can improve the academic performance of students who cannot depend on their home care to help them with learning.  This sounds logical, but Morse gives no supporting evidence that year-round education actually improves students' academic performance.  In fact, Teresa Greenfield(2004) found that although teachers and parents may have observed some improvement, the result showed no significant improvement. There are additional reasons for not changing the traditional school calendar.  Summer time allows children to grow and mature, which may ultimately give them a new outlook for the upcoming school year and provide them with the chance for a fresh start.  As White (2008) points out, summer can also provide children with educational opportunities that they may not get while in school, such as enjoying a summer reading program at the public library, learning to swim, attending a summer camp, or visiting faraway historic sites on vacation.  Allowing children the summer off gives them time to explore the world without being graded as they are in the classroom.  Moreover, if children do need remedial help, one or two hours of summer school per day can be offered to provide them with additional tutoring.  Most traditional school calendars offer summer school already, so there is no need to change the calendar.

I motioned my dad to come down so he could help me practice for January so I'll be ready for basketball season. I ran the play for him and said I would start at the key and drive than pass then turn at the mid-range area call for the pass grab and shoot. He seemed to understand so I started. I ran did a behind the head pass turned caught the ball shot and watch sink in. The next time it rolled of the rim and the time after that a slipped but regained my balance, shot and banked it in.

I stared at the old brown Celling decorated with posters. I went from poster to poster each reading what it says and laughing about it. I don't know if it was me or that gas that was laughing but I seemed to not care. As soon as he was done numbing it he took is cold metal pliers and twisted and jerked till it came out. Of course I didn't fell it because of the numb but I knew it hurt.

Year round school is not a good idea. the idea just gives me a headache!. students should be able to have two month were they can sit back relax and enjoy summer. with a year round school you have a schedule were you have a 60 days and then a 15 day break. kids need something to look forward to. it doesn't take too long for kids to catch up and if you do a little homework over the summer you should be fine

My small moment

it was the playoffs at my summer camp. We were ready to take on our rivals. We were planning to keep our center the whole game not knowing that we would have to sub him out next game if we won. We all huddled in talking turns talking. I said "were going to win this right". I shouted. They all responded with "Yea". We controlled the tip off. I took the ball up court and looked for the open man.


I decided to pass to our center that shot and missed. I grabbed the rebound and put it back up. I walked back after hearing the crowd cheer. We were not paying attention and there point guard drove for two easy points. Then point guard for our team drove and took his signature corner deep two. He made it and we were back up 4 to 2. I was so exited.


They passed the ball around a lot but then finally looking for the open man who missed. Getting the rebound i passed it to our center that shot and got fouled. Making both shots we were up 6-2. Another bad shot by the other team led to two easy points by me. 8-2 with 2 min left.


Anxious he threw up a three and bricked it. We controlled the board and slowly took it up court. We passed to our center again who got fouled. He made both shots with 30 seconds left. We were winning 10 to 2. No chance of comeback. When the final buzzer sounded we won and advanced to the next round of the playoffs.


In the next round we were playing the overall first place seed. We were all ready to take them on. But we had one problem. We couldn't keep our center in. I had to play center. That didn't matter too much because I was used to playing center for half the season because we didn't have him until later and I was experienced

My small moment

"WOW", i shouted as i watched Rajan Rondos no look behing his head pass to Kevin Garnett. " i can do that", i proclamed. I went outside took my ball and practiced. The first time i tryed it i chucked it so hard it rolled to the house across the street. A little less hard i thought to my self. The next time i hit my self with the ball. And the third time it was perfect, but the only problem was, there was no one to catch it. Practicing over and i finaly got it down. I tried the behing the back pass. Again it was to hard and it rolled in the street. Next time it was way to the side. The third time it was too light and it rolled back to me. The third time i got it right to the corner of the three point line. Perfect, but yet again no one to pass it to. Finally i wanted to try it in game. I called my friends over and we played 3 on 3. First posession was the no look pass. I drove and passed it behind my head to the en man. He made it and i was hyped. Next time it was behind the back. I drove passed it up top and it got cought by my teamate he shot the three and swooshed it. I think i got this i sayed to myself as we won 10-4

my small moment

it was my turn up to bat. being almost hit less all season i was undetermined to help us in the first round of the play-offs. the coach gave me the signal to bunt so i did. i fouled it off. next pitch was a strike. 0-2 i was more unsure of what would happen next. my coach yet again the signal to bunt, so i nodded. the pitch came and i was already aiming for it. SMACK! sounded the bat and i was bolting to first. i hear the crowd erupt behind me and im safe at first with my 2nd RBI of the season. i bunted the ball right over to the left. The pitcher ran towards it and droped it. I was safe at first with my 2nd RBI of the season! We led 1-0. Another hit brought me and someone else home, and we had a 3-0 led!

Basketball Bash

I won the tip and passed it to the point guard. i thought it was a good sign. I posted up and called for the ball. They didn't pass it to me. I was at least 4 inches taller and I could shoot over him. Instead he drove and missed. They got the rebound drove and took a free through and banked it. Unsure what to do next our point guard drive and took is corner three and swished it. We were winning 3-2. I high fived him and shouted "this is OUR time". Next they took a three and made it, back down by two. 2 minutes left it was our ball. They finally passed it to me and I drove for a open layup. It was tied again. With little seconds left he drove for a layup fell down and hit it. We were losing by two in the start of the quarter. In the next quarter we were even more hyped that we could bring our center in, The biggest guy in the league. I leaned in and told him "don't hold back, even if were up by fifty, we have to show them we were meant to be here. They had the ball looked for a shot drove and with great defense from our center missed. I thought to myself there will be no stopping us. I slowly took the ball up court and instantly knew where to pass, in the post. With our center 5'7 and there's nearly 5'0. He shot got fouled and still made the shot. I thought to myself that we were going to win with this center. Making the free throw we were back up by one! I high fived him and now we were more ready than ever. But we weren't paying attention and there team shot a wide open three and banked it. We were back down by 2 with 2 min remaining. It was my turn. I let him bring the ball up court set the pick and pop play and was wide open for the easy 2. I swooshed and walked back in pride. I thought that i was like MJ, unstoppable. Tied once more they threw up a hesitation three and almost made it, but we had good enough D that we got fouled on the fast break and we made 1 out of two free throw shots. yelled "lets go", We were up by one with 2 minutes left we thought we made it to the finals but we didn't. They dribbled up court and i was there for the charge. He fell on top of me and they called a foul on ME! I complained to the ref until i got a warning. And focused on the game. They got the ball took a three and made it. The crowd erupted like lava and it was the final possession. I called timeout and the ref didn't let me. I yelled it again "TIMEOUT". They didn't let me. And as i was yelling at the ref we shot and air-balled the 3. I was mad because they ref didn't let me call my timeout because we couldn't win, but overall I had tons of fun.

My small moment

One day i went to birmingham with cory to buy ice cream. After enjoying our delicious chocolate and vanilla ice cream we went to Kroger to bit something with our spare money. We had enough money to buy a cantaloupe. Cory stood in line while a video taped the whole thing. "Excuse me can i purchase this cantaloupe" asked cory. "Do you need my Kroger plus card number"? After giving her the money i stopped the video and took the cantaloupe. After we went back to cory's house to cut up the fruit and then We ate it. "That was probably the best cantaloupe I've ever tasted, just because we bought it are selves". Cory said. And that was the day me and cory bought a cantaloupe at Kroger

It was late at night when the whole tamarack camps gathered to watch the 

Reviling of the Maccabiah Games, a tamarack tradition for manny years. We won the Apache which is a big race for tons of points. I said to my friend "i hope we win i really want to win". They green team got out then the blue and finally the red. We were the yellow team so we won! We got sunglasses and bracelets as our prize. It was really really fun

My small moment

I was ready for my act. I was going to fake teach people how to play guitar. I was going to start with the acoustic then i would do the electric. I was horrible but of course on purpose. I didn't know how to play. After the acoustic. On to the electric. I though for the first a first time i did pretty good. Later a asked them all to smack there hands on the table to be the percussion. Pretty soon we were making a rock song. After. My time was up i had to put it away. I had a really fun time playing guitar.
